About

Sports and fitness have been part of my life from a young age. My love of activity and the sciences directed me to physical therapy. After getting my bachelor’s in Exercise Science at Penn State in 1991, I ran a fitness center for a year in which I taught fitness classes, developed personal exercise plans, and performed cardiovascular fitness testing. I returned to graduate school at Hahnemann University to complete my physical therapy training in 1994. Then the desire to be close to mountains and an active lifestyle compelled me to move out to Seattle. My love of learning made me seek out and complete a three-year orthopedic manual therapy residency as well as advanced training in pelvic health and TMJ work. As a runner and cyclist, I have also completed advanced training in running assessment and bike fitting.
I am very passionate about working with people throughout their life to help them age well, remain active, and decrease their injury risk levels. Whether your goal is to keep up with your grandchild, maintain a garden, hike a mountain, run a race, or even accomplish an unimaginable goal. I will meet you wherever you are in your fitness journey and work with you to achieve your desired physical goals and maybe even surprise you with some extra feats!

I have extensive experience treating orthopedic injuries from post-surgical rehabilitation to chronic nagging overuse injuries. I treat people of all ages, with any type of orthopedic injuries. I enjoy working with runners of all levels to assess running biomechanics and training routines to keep you successfully running and injury free. I also specialize in custom bike fitting for cyclists including exercise prescriptions to improve posture and biomechanics while on the bike. Another passion of mine is working with women with pelvic health needs including pre and postpartum therapy, pelvic pain, and incontinence. I also have specific training in treating patients that have TMJ disorders to restore stability/or mobility of the jaw, decrease muscle tone, correct jaw movement, and educate on proper posture and resting jaw position.

Recreationally, I enjoy running, cycling, hiking, and weight training.
